In July 2005, Carolina Tobacco Company moved its existing operations from a small town in South Africa to a $10 million, state-of-the-art factory in Johannesburg.
In Johannesburg, the European technology, South African work ethic, favorable labor costs, African tobacco sourcing and the superb tobacco blend contribute to our ability to provide high-quality products at a reasonable price, creating great value for the consumer.
Our highly qualified team of experts manages the manufacturing process from the moment the tobacco is purchased to when the finished product is shipped. The benefit to our customers is a consistent, quality taste from the blend, which translates into repeat customer purchases.
The move to our new, 11,000 square meter factory was well planned and executed. Modifications to the new factory were completed in April 2006 and significantly increased our factory’s production capacity.
The increased capacity satisfies the growing demand for our ROGER® and KINGSBORO® brand products as well as our needs for our existing contract assembly services. It also expands our ability to pursue additional opportunities.
